Nalorakk
Den of Nalorakk · boss 3 of 3
Slumbering in his fitful and battle-filled dream, Nalorakk, the Loa of War, will only test the mettle of the worthy. Survive his trial and receive his blessing or die trying.
Zul'jarra fights beside you and is the target of everything. Shelter behind her Defensive Stance during Overwhelming Onslaught, and body-block the Forceful Slam and the charging Echoes so she isn't the one hit.
When Nalorakk casts Overwhelming Onslaught, Zul'jarra raises a barrier that reduces its damage for players behind her, and its Forceful Slam must be soaked by standing in the impact so she doesn't eat it alone. At 100 energy Fury of the War God stuns her and sends Echoes of Nalorakk charging her position; intercept each Echo with your body, because anything that reaches her triggers a stacking Demoralizing Scream.

What actually kills you
Everything else is noise until these three are handled.
- Dodging Forceful Slam clear. If no player is caught in the impact, Zul'jarra bears the full hit and lets out Demoralizing Scream: armor-ignoring raid damage plus a stacking damage-taken increase.
- Letting an Echo reach Zul'jarra. During Fury of the War God she is stunned by Concussive Shock and defenseless; every Echo that arrives is another Demoralizing Scream.
- Standing outside the barrier during Overwhelming Onslaught. Behind Zul'jarra it is greatly reduced; anywhere else it lands in full.
Your job
If you tank
- Control which way Zul'jarra faces by where you park Nalorakk; her barrier only shelters players behind her, so his position decides where the safe ground is.
- Echoing Maul fires from Nalorakk and from every Echo at the same time, so two Echoes alive means three Mauls at once.
If you heal
- Overwhelming Onslaught is significant even through the barrier; reduced isn't free.
- Demoralizing Scream stacks a damage-taken increase, so every one you let happen makes the next stretch worse. Treat a missed intercept as a cooldown moment.
If you DPS
- Both big mechanics are intercepts, so put your body in the way. Taking Echoing Fury yourself is the correct outcome, since it spares Zul'jarra a Scream.
- Each Echo lingers for one extra Fury of the War God before vanishing, so the second cast has more Echoes to block than the first. Their Spectral Slash knocks you back and leaves a stacking Nature damage-over-time.
- Forceful Roar pushes everyone away, so expect to be out of position right after and plan the run back.
How the fight goes
| Part | What to do |
|---|---|
| Step 1 | He fights with Echoing Maul and shoves the group with Forceful Roar. |
| Step 2 | Overwhelming Onslaught: get behind Zul'jarra's barrier and stay in the Forceful Slam's impact so she isn't hit alone. |
| Step 3 | At 100 energy, Fury of the War God stuns Zul'jarra with Concussive Shock and charges the Echoes into her; body-block every one along their approach. |

Heroic and Mythic
The journal publishes no key-level-specific text; higher keys scale health and damage. We would rather say that than invent a difference.

Worth a bonus roll?
You cannot roll this boss on its own. A dungeon roll is against the whole instance, so this table is one part of a pool that includes every other boss in Den of Nalorakk — the bonus roll guide explains what that changes, and the planner works it out per spec.
