Adderis and Aspix

Temple of Sethraliss · boss 1 of 4

Lore

A pair of powerful sethrak that are blessed by the storm and charged with guarding the temple's entrance.

Adderis and Aspix
In one sentence

One of the pair is always Storm Blessed and takes reduced damage, so hit the other one and stack for Thunder and Lightning, whose first half divides between everyone it catches.

Damage whichever sethrak is not Storm Blessed and follow the buff when it transfers. Stack the group for Thunder and Lightning so its first half splits. Watch Overload on Adderis as a tank burst window, and expect the survivor to Frenzy once the first one dies.

What actually kills you

Everything else is noise until these three are handled.

  • Beating on the Storm Blessed one. Its damage taken is cut hard, so every second on the shielded target is damage thrown away — swap the instant the buff transfers.
  • Taking Thunder and Lightning alone. The first half divides evenly among the players hit, so it wants everybody stacked in it.
  • Being pushed somewhere bad. Gale Force violently throws players backward.

How the fight goes

PartWhat to do
Step 1Storm Blessed sits on one of the pair and transfers as they take damage. Follow it.
Step 2Adderis melees and Overloads; Aspix pushes with Gale Force and seeds Tempest Winds.
Step 3The first death sends the survivor into Frenzy. The damage pattern speeds up rather than ends.

Worth a bonus roll?

You cannot roll this boss on its own. A dungeon roll is against the whole instance, so this table is one part of a pool that includes every other boss in Temple of Sethralissthe bonus roll guide explains what that changes, and the planner works it out per spec.
