Ikuzz the Light Hunter
The Blinding Vale · boss 2 of 4
Ikuzz is a fearsome carnivore who once stalked prey throughout Harandar. Now the Light Hunter has succumbed to the overwhelming power of the Lightbloom, and his insatiable hunger serves its growth.
At full energy he fixates one player and hunts them; the danger is being rooted or cornered when he arrives to Incise them.
A kite fight with a trap laid in it. Bloodthorn Roots pin players in place until the roots are destroyed, and Bloodthirsty Gaze fixates one player and pursues them before biting (Incise). While he chases, his own Crushing Footfalls crush any roots near him — so leading him over rooted players can free them.

What actually kills you
Everything else is noise until these three are handled.
- The fixated player reaching Incise. It applies a heavy Physical bleed and then Crunched, a stun — free them and keep them moving before he closes.
- Roots left on the group. Bloodthorn Roots tick Nature damage and hold players in place through the next stomp or roar.
- Verdant Stomp's follow-up. It knocks everyone back, then sprouts Bloodthorn Roots at wherever they land.
Your job
If you tank
- Bloodthirsty Gaze fixates a player and pursues them; for its duration the fight belongs to whoever he picked, not to threat.
- Lightcrazed Frenzy speeds him up and pulses Holy damage on everyone — kiting gets harder once it is up.
If you heal
- Thorncaller Roar channels Nature damage on the whole group while Bloodthorn Roots erupt around Ikuzz.
- Incise is a lasting Physical bleed, not a single hit — it keeps ticking into the Crunched stun.
If you DPS
- Break the fixated player's roots first; everyone else's roots can wait, theirs cannot.
- Crushing Footfalls crush roots near Ikuzz as he chases — kiting him across rooted players can clear them for free.
How the fight goes
| Part | What to do |
|---|---|
| Step 1 | Bloodthorn Roots and Verdant Stomp periodically pin and knock the group around. |
| Step 2 | At 100 energy, Bloodthirsty Gaze fixates a player and Ikuzz pursues them. |
| Step 3 | He reaches them for Incise and Crunched — free the target, kite, repeat. |
Higher keys
Heroic and Mythic
The journal publishes no key-level-specific text; higher keys scale health and damage. We would rather say that than invent a difference.
Loot

Worth a bonus roll?
You cannot roll this boss on its own. A dungeon roll is against the whole instance, so this table is one part of a pool that includes every other boss in The Blinding Vale — the bonus roll guide explains what that changes, and the planner works it out per spec.
