Ziekket
The Blinding Vale · boss 4 of 4
Born from the Lightbloom's epicenter, Ziekket was spawned and incubated by Light-infested rutaani to create an unstoppable engine of the Lightbloom's expansion.
Nothing here dies the normal way: the lashers only stay down if his own beam catches them dormant, and his orbs only stop if somebody touches them first.
A fight where both of the boss's own abilities are your tools. Lightspawn Lashers can't be killed — at 1% they go Dormant, immune, and reawaken stronger with Vicious Regrowth. Concentrated Lightbeam is fired at players and liquifies any dormant lasher it passes over, so the group leads the beam across the ones lying in the ground.

What actually kills you
Everything else is noise until these three are handled.
- Letting lashers reawaken. Vicious Regrowth gives them haste and damage and makes them immune to interrupts and crowd control — the second generation is a much harder fight than the first.
- Letting the essence reach him. Fluorescent Outburst is Holy damage on everyone plus a stacking Fluorescent Shield that absorbs and boosts his damage.
- Nobody taking the orbs. Touching a globule of Lightbloom's Essence bursts it and grants Lightbloom's Might — more damage and healing at the cost of a burn. That trade is the fight.
Your job
If you tank
- Awaken the Lightbloom summons a thicket of lashers on top of everything else — keep the boss where the group has room to work the beam over dormant ones.
- Thornspike impales you with a knockback and a Physical bleed — expect to lose position at a bad moment.
If you heal
- Oozing Xylem is continuous, unavoidable Holy damage on all five — the floor the rest of the fight sits on.
- Lightbloom's Might burns the player holding it and stacks — someone taking several orbs is taking real damage for the group's benefit.
If you DPS
- Push each lasher to 1% so it goes Dormant, then make sure Concentrated Lightbeam passes over it — damage alone never finishes them.
- Intercept the Lightbloom's Essence globules before they reach Ziekket; each one that lands is a Fluorescent Shield you then have to chew through.
- Take the orbs and use Lightbloom's Might — it's a damage increase you're paying for in health either way.
How the fight goes
| Part | What to do |
|---|---|
| Step 1 | Awaken the Lightbloom sprouts Lightspawn Lashers and reawakens any dormant ones with Vicious Regrowth. |
| Step 2 | Concentrated Lightbeam fires at players; dormant lashers caught in it are liquified for good, leaving Lightsap on the floor. |
| Step 3 | Lightbloom's Essence drifts toward Ziekket — touch the orbs, or he absorbs them and shields. |
Higher keys
Heroic and Mythic
The journal publishes no key-level-specific text; higher keys scale health and damage. We would rather say that than invent a difference.
Loot
Everything Ziekket can drop, from the Midnight Season 2 item database.

Nothing matches that.
This boss drops a trinket. Trinket value varies enormously by spec — see the simulated trinket rankings.
Worth a bonus roll?
You cannot roll this boss on its own. A dungeon roll is against the whole instance, so this table is one part of a pool that includes every other boss in The Blinding Vale — the bonus roll guide explains what that changes, and the planner works it out per spec.
