Atroxus
Voidscar Arena · boss 2 of 3
Imprisoned by Charonus, this starving behemoth is hoping for a new victim to sate his appetite. Atroxus's sheer size is almost as dangerous as the poison he spews.
Every roar adds another Creeper, and every Creeper makes Nature damage hurt more — kite them, kill them, and stay out of the cone and the pools.
A snowballing fight. Monstrous Roar is armor-ignoring Physical damage on the group and agitates a nearby poison pool into a Toxic Creeper; the Creeper fixates a player, stacks Nature vulnerability with each Sickening Bite, and drags a damaging Toxic Aura around with it. Poison Splash keeps painting pools that slow your haste.

What actually kills you
Everything else is noise until these three are handled.
- Letting Toxic Creepers pile up. Each fixates a player and its Toxic Aura damages anyone near it, turning more of the arena into floor you can't use.
- Sickening Bite stacking on whoever holds the Creeper. It stacks increased Nature damage taken — dangerous when Hulking Claw, also Nature, lands on the tank.
- Standing in the pools. Poison Splash paints the floor and Mind-Numbing Poison cuts your haste — the quiet reason the pull runs long.
Your job
If you tank
- Watch Sickening Bite stacks on whoever holds the Creeper — stacked Nature vulnerability makes Hulking Claw spike, and that's your cooldown trigger, not the health bar.
- Noxious Breath is a frontal cone — face it away and keep Atroxus off the poison pools so melee have somewhere to stand.
If you heal
- Monstrous Roar ignores armor, hits everyone, and spawns the next Creeper from a poison pool — one cast, two problems.
- Hulking Claw leaves a Nature bleed on its target on top of the hit — read it as a two-part cast.
If you DPS
- Kill the Creepers. They fixate a player, so whoever is chased kites while everyone else burns it.
- Kite around the poison pools, not through them — Mind-Numbing Poison cuts your haste and is entirely avoidable.
How the fight goes
| Part | What to do |
|---|---|
| Step 1 | Poison Splash covers the ground; Noxious Breath is a cone from his face. |
| Step 2 | Monstrous Roar: armor-ignoring damage on everybody, and a Toxic Creeper crawls out of a nearby pool. |
| Step 3 | The Creeper fixates and bites — kite it, kill it, and do it again at the next roar. |
Higher keys
Heroic and Mythic
The journal publishes no key-level-specific text; higher keys scale health and damage. We would rather say that than invent a difference.
Loot

Nothing matches that.
This boss drops a trinket. Trinket value varies enormously by spec — see the simulated trinket rankings.
Worth a bonus roll?
You cannot roll this boss on its own. A dungeon roll is against the whole instance, so this table is one part of a pool that includes every other boss in Voidscar Arena — the bonus roll guide explains what that changes, and the planner works it out per spec.
